You Cannot Legislate Against Stupidity

Politicians and government have responded to the school shooting in Connecticut, predictably in a very stupid manner. Politicians and government are only interested in promoting their own private agenda. Them do something that makes a lick of sense? Don’t be silly!
This is NOT rocket science, people. What do we now know that was NOT reported on from day one?
“Earlier this year, the school principal, Dawn Lafferty Hochsprung, ordered a new security system installed that required visitors to be visibly identified and buzzed in. As part of the security system, the school locked its doors each day at 9:30 a.m.
The door was locked when the gunman arrived.
Authorities now know the gunman used “an assault weapon” to “literally (shoot) an entrance into the building,” Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy said.”
Okay, a slight correction to our original story needs to be posted. The school principal, Dawn Lafferty Hochsprung, made a slight oversight in her security measures. The doors of the school need to be made either of heavy metal, or the thick bullet proof glass that banks are now routinely using.
The job of government employees is to do their job. No matter how you slice it, the governmental employees connected with the security of this school failed to do their job, period, end of story.
There is absolutely no need for the insane responses that the liberal Democrats are now calling for.
There is no need to throw out the Constitution of the United States. There is no need to punish law abiding citizens. Just do your job governmental employees. Stop being so bloody stupid, and do the job that you are being paid to do.
If the Government is too stupid to hire engineers to mathematically figure out what is necessary for school security, then they will have to field test their proposed solutions against the power of real assault weapons. Just don’t hold your breath. The chances of Government ever getting it right, are slim to none. If commercial companies can produce bomb proof cars, they obviously can turn out a bomb proof front door for schools. Just be prepared to pay a steep price tag.
